We gots an extra hour of sleep this weekend wif the time change.

Vader needed it

Rugen needed it (although this is MY bed!)

 And I, Tucker always need it!

I is Four

Yep, that's right my birfday was Monday and I turned 4 years old! On Saturday I gots to go my beach to celebrate 

Sunday I gots to do my favorite activity.

My actual birfday was hurricane Sandy day here, but she didn't rain on my birfday parade!

I had pressies.....

And cake and ice cream!

Momma says I was so wound up that night even she was exhuasted.  I did zoomies 6 times in the house that evening.  It was just the perfect alignment of all the  birthday excitement, the sugar, the wind, the rain, and the full moon!

My futon problems

I has a futon.  I loves my futon.  My futon is placed nicely for the afternoon sun.

So what is the problem you ask, well look at this picture and you can tell.

Little bitty bratty kitteh Rugen is stealing my sun.  The sun in this room by MY futon belongs to me. 

Don't let her innocent look fool you. She is trying to take everything that is mine.

Move Rugen you are disturbing my beauty sleep.

I got up to go check the sunshine in the back yard and look what happened!

Note from Tucker's Momma: The baby gate is down and Tucker and Rugen are now co-existing.  She still hisses at him at times but doesn't bat at him.  Tucker is not chasing her "much" and is being easy around her.  I say "much" because Tucker is the fun police in the house and any cat that doesn't follow rules he tries to correct.  He doesn't allow cats on the counter or the table.  So Tucker knows the rules but Rugen is still learning to stay off the table.

Last Weekend's Adventure

 Last weekend I went with the hoomans to visit my Aunt D in Connecticut.  It tooks foverevers to get there.

Then the next day I went for a great walkie were I met a new friend named Lulu.

Unfortunately I met some other creatures I had never seen before.  It was a really warm day and all the baby ticks hatched!  The hoomans and I had gone of the trail and then we noticed a tick.  We got right back on the trail but I had to stand there for about 20 minutes as the hooman looked me all over and looked themselves all over for ticks.  There was about thirty ticks on all of us (they hadn't bit us, they were just on our clothes).  We gots them all off and I got a new dose of frontline plus to be sure they didn't bite me in case they missed one. Those peoples in Connecticut have to deal with really bad ticks, Lyme disease is named after Old Lyme Connecticut were the first case was discovered.  We have them in Maine too but once the frost comes the ticks go bye bye until spring.  I have frontline plus every month and from April - October and then Momma skips a month over the winter.  We hardly ever see ticks, let alone this late in the year.  I has never had one ever and then a whole tick party exploded on us.  We finished our walk, checked ourselves over again and again and then got back in the car.

The tick party was stressy so we needed some pasta.  This stuff is soooo good!

When it was time to make the trip back to Maine I was sad to leave Aunt D but I was so tired.  We stopped to Colonial Candies in Massachusetts on the way home.

Momma got a very bad for you ice cream (she skipped lunch so she said that made it ok)

I gots plain jane vanilla but it was good!  I wonder if Norwood and Mango go here?

I slept the whole ride home, I only woke up to barks at the toll booth attendants.

Boy was I tired when we gots home.  It took me three days to get caught up on my beauty rest.

I is an only child

 Ok, ok, when you don't count the kittehs I is an only child.  Navajo had to go back to the daycare/kennel foster.  Turns out she has this thing called separation anxiety and would whine every time Momma was outa sight.  Plus, she escaped the crate the first day the hoomans went to work - we ran around loose in the house unsupervised all day.  (Momma says it's a miracle we didn't get hurt, hurt each other, or destroy anything).  So, the next days she tried to get out of the crate that now had wire ties on it.  In the process Navi was hurting her nose from pushing on the crate all day.  Also, she was resource guarding and scaring me.  The resource was food, and Momma.   I had to make big loops out around her and I couldn't go near Momma.  So Momma had to take her back so she wouldn't get hurt. 

I was so tired from not sleeping...... Seriously look at my eyes.....

But, everything is back to how it use to be and it looks like I won't be getting a sister anytime soon.  We'll try fostering at another time.

In other news, I spent the weekend sunbathing....

My Weekend Adventure

We loaded up Saturday morning for our big weekend adventure.

Are we there yet?

Oh I don't know how to ski. 

Well the good news is that the camp was just named ski lodge, no skiing required.  The bad news was it was so cold outside I stayed inside almost the whole time.  The whole family was there (Cousin Diesel & Bambi included). 

I guess the staying inside wasn't so bad, the camp had couches.  And there was always a hooman that stayed inside wif us. But, what were the other hoomans doing?  Well, that crazy ice fishing thing we did last year (see that adventure here.)  However, it was a double over night trip this time and much colder than last year!

Diesel and I did get to go out once just to see what was going on, but we had to go back in before 30 minutes.  We were styling in our coats and boots.

Dis is the lake from the view of the Cabin.  It looks really scary wif the open water but that is only because there is Dam next to it causing all kinds of currents in the water.  To the right you can see all the ice.  It was about 10-12 inches of ice on the lake.

Oh and yes the hoomans caught fishies, but I missed them all cause I was inside.  Momma was wif me most of the time but she did get to see Dad's big fish.....

This is a Togue or a Lake Trout.  It was 23" in length and Dad kept it for my Uncle to eats because it was the biggest fish of the trip.  The Warden service came by and gots it's official measurement and weight.  Then they took out it belly guts to take to the lab.  The Biologist will test to see what the fish have been eating and make sure that the fish are healthy in the lake. 

So after two nights away I is back home.  The sun is perfectly on my bed and I has a lot of sleep to catch up on! I'll try to be around to your bloggies once I get rested.

I'm back from Vacation

Hello all - I'm back from my vacation and I've got some interesting pictures to show you next week. I spent losta time doing my favorite activity (napping), I found a few of Norwood's friends. I refuse to swim, or get in the boat, my BFF Diesel came for one of the days, and hot dogs were involved. It was a great vacation, and I'm trying to get caught up on your bloggies. I can't comment on all of them but I am trying really hard to reads them before the end of the weekend.

My Holiday

Hello All! I'm back from my big weekend vacation. This is the longest one I've ever had with a whole three nights away. My Cousins Diesel and Bambi were there too! Let's see where do I begin?

On Friday afternoon we arrived at Eastport - the Eastern most city in the USA. I arrived just in time to enter a Pet Show where I took home 1st place for best in show! Can you believe it? I'm a show off Dog! Here I am accepting my blue ribbon and my big $10 prize.

On Saturday we went for Walkies ---
Ummm... I thinks these people have a spelling problem..... what the heck is a scall, urchin has a h ok, and I don't know anyone that wants an imp....

The big Navy ship was in to celebrate the holiday.
On Saturday night Momma said that I was ridiculous - whatever that means. I guess Diesel and I were naughty on our second trip down town for the day. We had taken a 5 hour nap and had lotsa energy. We were pullin on our leashes and actin' all crazy. Momma thinks we were feeding off everyone elses excitement since it was getting dark. We had these really cool glow stick collars on and unfortunately this is the only picture Momma got. Maybe that's were the energies were commin' from,

I always get the best seat in the house, even if I have to share with Bambi.

On Independence Day after getting some rest Diesel and I met new friends - like this big guy!

And MANGO was there...... he isn't nearly as big as everyone thinks, his Momma just photoshops him big.
I really enjoyed the parade this year........ Yup that's how exciting it was.

And on Sunday night Momma and Dad stayed at the house with us puppies while the others went to the Fireworks. Momma knew I would be scared so she sat down and fed us cheese to distract us all from the big booms and flashes.

So that was my holiday, I hope everyone was safe and enjoyed their extra time with their hoomans. I'm Sooo tired.... I need a vacation from my vacation!
