I is Four

Yep, that's right my birfday was Monday and I turned 4 years old! On Saturday I gots to go my beach to celebrate
Sunday I gots to do my favorite activity.

My actual birfday was hurricane Sandy day here, but she didn't rain on my birfday parade!

I had pressies.....

And cake and ice cream!

Momma says I was so wound up that night even she was exhuasted.  I did zoomies 6 times in the house that evening.  It was just the perfect alignment of all the  birthday excitement, the sugar, the wind, the rain, and the full moon!
Happy Birfday to ME!

How to Chews Toys

Welcome all to my class HOW TO CHEWS TOYS!
This is going to be a jam packed class ... here is the syllabus :
1- Squeakies
2- Stuffies
3- Ropes
4 - Frisbees
5- Treat Toys

Let's get started...

Squeakies are my personal favorite so we will cover them first.  The three main things you gotta knows about squeakies is that they 1 - Squeak (the louder the better). 2 - They have hold ability (they tends to be rubber so they can slips out of your mouth when they gets drooly.  See my football great example of squeakablity and hold ability.
Shawnee could you please demonstrate for the class the foreign language category of squeakies?

"I want toys that make sounds like wot they is.  Like the froggie in the picture, he do say RIBBIT RIBBIT "
Thank you...
Oh and #3 for Squeakies -- squish ability.  My football has that too.
***********************
Now Stuffies, who doesn't love a stuffy?  They need to be soft and cuddly... Like this Teddy.
Anyone care to demonstrate?  Oh Rory..... Yes that is a perfect example of soft and cuddly! (and comfy!)
Susie, yes I see you are an expert on stuffy cuddle ability too!
I also think Tug ability is important to a stuffy...
Nola? Do you have an example of a really important characteristic of a stuffy?
Oh yes, catch ability - GOOD ONE!

I see Weenie has some good stuffy grabbing skills too!

What about you Bites?
Tear ability - yup we all see that teddy's bum..... and that's one of the biggest problems with Stuffies.... random explosions...
"Divert your eyes"

Whew... that was close.....

Oh nos... Stella? Rory? are you ok... stuffy explosions are the worst.

Mona?  Did you get stuffy guts on you?

******************
Now ropes... they are perfect for tugging and shaking, and swinging, and giving the hoomans bruises.

Finn, could you please demonstrate?
Wow that was great, looks like you are tugging & shakin that rope toy at the same time... impressive!
Rory and Stella, could you please demonstrate pair rope Tugging?

Most excellent, but I feel Rory may have the "upper paw"  BOL.. I cracks myself up.
************************
PEE BREAK

**********************
Ok I is back.....Frisbees.  What can I say abouts frisbees.
They suck.
I can't figure them out, I can't catch them, and I can't pick them up.

The hoomans can't throw them either.......
They land and I dig and dig and I can't pick them up.

I do know a few frisbee experts though, so you'll should ask them

Last but not least, Puzzle toys

Usually you gets treats, but you gots to work for them.  Like rolling around the cubes until a treat falls out...
My personal favorite - the Vader kitteh puzzle cube, BOL.
But the problem with the puzzle toys is they are exhausting...

Well that is it for class today, thank you for joining us and a special thank you for everyone that demonstrated their toys today.  There is always so much to learn about new toys.  It's like there is an endless selection!

Baby Chicks, it's raining kittehs, and my football

So this stuff isn't related at all but I wanted to share it all, so I'll cram it one post....
First off the baby chicks are now 6 weeks old- can you believe it?  Momma Lady Gaga chicken is still a proud Momma strutting around with her babies.  There are 4 babies and we are sure that #4 is a Rooster.  We think the other 3 are all girls (pullets)!

We can't keep them all but Momma is very happy that #5 (the baby she saved) is a girl!
*****************
My kitteh Brudder Vader was practicing for the couch potato peeling contest and he fell off the couch!

Yup, this is a partial wipe-out photo - he peeled out off the couch - BOL!

And lastly - I just luvs my JW pet football - Dis be my 3rd one cause I play wif them so much I wears them out. I previous had 2 green ones, this 1 be black.  They squeak and are just fabulous.
What do you mean you can't see the football?

 Ok here it is..

Chick Magnet

So guess what, I gots baby chickens!  Back in June my chicken Lady Gaga went broody.  Basically that means she starts stealing all the eggs and sitting on them.  She wanted to be a mom.  The only problem is that we gots no rooster, so all that work Lady Gaga was doing was for nothing!  So we gots 6 eggs from a farm so that Lady Gaga could be a surrogate mom. (Lady is grumpy because I guess eggs aren't comfy when you sits on them?)

So she sat on the eggs for what was suppose to be 21 days. But on Day #19! The first little monster was born.
Come the morning 4/6 eggs were hatched and when Dad gots home the first chick had jumped it's barrier and was running around the coop with the rest of the adult chickens - NOT GOOD.  Fortunately the chick wasn't hurt and we moved Lady and the 4 babies to a temporary coop.  Chick #5 had hatched but since Lady Gaga was running around with first chicken she had ignored it.  So Chick #5 and Egg #6 came inside for the night.  After 36 hours chick #6 didn't make it but Chick #5 was healthy as could be.
We reintroduced chick #5 to Lady Gaga and she pecked it!  So after reading some stuff about it online at nighttime the hoomans snuck the 5th chick under Lady Gaga when she was sleeping.  The next morning she had 5 babies instead of 4 and happy as could be.  Chickens are stoopid, they can't count.  Meet the babies:
Chicken #1 and #2
Chicken #3, #4, and #5

Lady Gaga and her babies, they are growing fast.
So I is raising more babies but I can't keeps them all.  We can't keeps any if they are boys and we only have room for 2 girls.  So, when they are older and we can tell what they are 3 babies will go to another family.  Momma's favorite is the brown chick#5 so hopefully that is a girl :)

Oh and a picture of me cause this is my blog!  Isn't my new snake stuffy pawesome!
