High Security - so what's your sign?

Now in my house I is suppose to be the one watching the house.  I am the dog after all.

However, I can usually be found doing this.....

The nice people at My Security Sign asked me if I would like to review a sign since they were just introducing new Guard Dog signs (who me?).  So, we took a look at the site and found one that was just perfect for our house.  The nice people at My Security Sign sent us this!

It's Vader's Sign! BOL..... BOL.

Oh I can't stop laughing, BOL BOL.......

Now this sign isn't one of those cheesy plastic signs that "pretends" to be a real sign.  It is a real honest to goodness metal sign like your Department of Transportation would have.  They have so many different signs to choose from and lots of doggy breeds too!

Thank you very much My Security Sign and the nice Michael who worked with us.  We love the sign and I can't wait to figure out where we are going to put it up.

My futon problems

I has a futon.  I loves my futon.  My futon is placed nicely for the afternoon sun.

So what is the problem you ask, well look at this picture and you can tell.

Little bitty bratty kitteh Rugen is stealing my sun.  The sun in this room by MY futon belongs to me. 

Don't let her innocent look fool you. She is trying to take everything that is mine.

Move Rugen you are disturbing my beauty sleep.

I got up to go check the sunshine in the back yard and look what happened!

Kitteh brudder Vader upside down asleep and the itty bitty bratty kitteh cuddling and giving him kisses!

 Great, now it smells like kitteh :(

Note from Tucker's Momma: The baby gate is down and Tucker and Rugen are now co-existing.  She still hisses at him at times but doesn't bat at him.  Tucker is not chasing her "much" and is being easy around her.  I say "much" because Tucker is the fun police in the house and any cat that doesn't follow rules he tries to correct.  He doesn't allow cats on the counter or the table.  So Tucker knows the rules but Rugen is still learning to stay off the table. 

Baby Chicks, it's raining kittehs, and my football

So this stuff isn't related at all but I wanted to share it all, so I'll cram it one post....
First off the baby chicks are now 6 weeks old- can you believe it?  Momma Lady Gaga chicken is still a proud Momma strutting around with her babies.  There are 4 babies and we are sure that #4 is a Rooster.  We think the other 3 are all girls (pullets)!

We can't keep them all but Momma is very happy that #5 (the baby she saved) is a girl!

And lastly - I just luvs my JW pet football - Dis be my 3rd one cause I play wif them so much I wears them out. I previous had 2 green ones, this 1 be black.  They squeak and are just fabulous.

More Proof

Yes, as if you needed more proof that Vader is FAT!  Subject: Vader kitteh

 Problem: Kitteh door is just big enough for fatso to fit through. As you can see kitteh brudder Patch can fit through just fine.

 Solution: TUBBYKAT door.... BOL... Seriously!  I means the humans bought this and replaced the other kitteh door wif it.  Ha Ha - fatso needed a bigger kitteh door.

 BOL... Vader is never gonna live this down I will continue to laugh at him.  Proof that Vader is fat!

Dad's Pizza Pillow

So Dad gots this Pizza pillow for Christmas and he puts it on my Futon. 

Well one day the hoomans came home from work and the pillow was in the bed room.  Someone must have moved it.

 Also, the do not remove by penalty of law tag was removed.  Who would do such a thing?  

Momma asked me who did it.

Why I like Mr. Chewy

I like Mr. Chewy -
He sends me treats in boxes that I gets to open.

Mr. Chewy also sent foodables for the kittehs - which Vader likes to eat cause he is fat fluffy. Evil kitteh brudder Patch likes foodables too but he doens't like the camera.

The hoomans like Mr. Chewy because they can save money. Check out the prices we currently pay for stuff we ALWAYS get and how much better of a deal it is from Mr. Chewy.

Mr. Chewy offered me a coupon to try them out, both Vader and I were happy to gets a delivery in 2 days.  We appreciate the generosity of Mr. Chewy letting us try out their service.  In all honesty the delivery was fast, correct, easy, and less expensive that what we normally pay.  We will order from them again.  But I Tucker do have one minor concern - they don't sell toys.  I gots no new stuffy like I normally gets when I orders online, I guess I'll just convince the hoomans to takes me to the local pet store to gets one wif all the money we will save!

Goodbye Ellie

Today is a sad day.  Kitteh sister Ellie unexpectedly went to the rainbow bridge while sleeping in a patch of sun on the futon.

Ellie was at best guess maybe 6 years old.  She found the hoomans at their apartment in April of 2007 on Easter Sunday.  She was starving and covered in burdock from being forced to make it on her own for a Maine winter eating out of the compost.  The neighbors down the street had moved in November and they must have left her behind, forgotten - unwanted.

She wriggled her way into everyone's heart with her broken meow and her love of laps.  If you didn't pet her she'd lightly pat your face to remind you she was there.

Ellie was the only kitteh that accepted me when I came into the family.  She was my kitteh, she never once hissed at me or swatted at me - even when I used her as a napkin.  This is us yesterday.

We almost lost Ellie last year when she couldn't eat because of her teeth, we discovered she had periodontal disease.  After two weeks of syringe feeding and dental surgery she learned to eat on her own again and was back to full heath.  Her checkup in August was perfect, what was left for her teeth were healthy.

This morning Ellie ordered her breakfast as usual, she scolded Vader for chasing her as normal, and she won the best spot in the morning sun.  That is were she went to sleep and just never woke up.

Tonight the hoomans sit with an empty lap and a broken heart.

Mayzie's Rescue Me Week - Kitteh Edition

My recycled kitteh brudder Vader would like to do a post.... I can't believe I'm letting him but it's for a good cause.

I was adopted from a shelter a little over a year ago.  My humans came to the shelter to find a cat that was male, got along with dogs, liked to play, and would be a companion to the old kitty Patch.  I do play a lot with Patch and I enjoy cuddling and chasing my kitty sister Ellie.  

I'm a pretty chill guy and don't get into too much trouble.  Ok, so I ate all the house plants, I get up on the counters, and I can open unlocked doors.  But, besides that I'm purrfect!


I came from The Ark Animal Shelter where I was turned over because the human that had me first couldn't afford to take care of me anymore.  So many of us are turned over for no fault of our own.  We all need a human to rescue us.  


I would like to talk about Ace - 

My Momma remembers seeing him when she picked out me.  So, Ace has been at the shelter for over a year!  He definitely needs a home to call his own.  He's a little shy and needs a quieter home versus the shelter.  Check out Ace here: http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/10367413
