Walkies on the Rails to Trails

In our area the state of Maine took the old railroad that wasn't in use and and pulled up the rails to make a trail!  ATVs, snowmobiles, walkers, hikers, doggies - we all get to enjoy it.
The stretch near me is 87 miles long.  No kidding Frankie that is the actual number!

This be a beaver dam on the way.  It was getting kinda dark but you can still see it on the right.  The beavers are trying to build another one on the left of the pictures.  I guess beavers aren't bothered by the housing crisis cause they just keep building bigger and bigger houses.
The sun was setting on the beaver's home so I had to head back.
2 miles done, 85 to go....

  8. We have one of those right behind our house except they did not pave it yet and momma is afraid of all the ticks that live there so we only go in the winter.

Funny thing is, ours is 87 miles long too. Who would have figured that one?

  11. You have great walks all around you!
Do you happen to meet Mrs Fletcher when she goes jogging in the morning? May be Cabot Cove is at the end of the 87miles, that is why you do not meet too often... and my be you do not even want to meet her.. Jessica seems to take too much troubles to her friends :)
Yes I am watching too much tv these days eh? oh yes, should better go out walking more too...
