We've been hiking, walking, running playing, splashing and swimming!

Let me start with - Tyson is a crazy swimmer!  He just did it on his own out in the ocean and now we can't stop him - that pup loves swimming and chasing everything you throw to him! I swear he is a lab disguised in an english mastiff body.
Me?  Oh no the Tucker doesn't swim.  I loves splashing and sticking my face under, but my bum is not getting wet.
We've been spending some evenings at the pond.
I took Tyson for his first hike! I was an old pro even wif my arthritis.  We just do hikes that are shorter (like a mile or so) and not as demanding on my knees.  The next day I just rest and I don't even limp.  I carry the bowl and the poop bags in my backpack.
Tyson carries our water. He is a really strong boy now.
I've also taken Tyson on my favorite walkies and some new ones.  Can you see my rainbow I found on this walk?
We've not been around much but we are both doing well.  The hoomans are spending lots of time wif us outside now that the weather is finally good.  We plan to have a very active summer!

My Trips to Cape Cod - Part 2

Where we left off was on the beach....
I enjoyed just laying on the beach
 In the nice warm sun

The smells of the ocean breeze.
But I hated the stoopid sand getting in my drools!!  I kept getting sand in my mouth and crunching on it.  Yuck.

Thankfully there was a water fountain right there.

This one was made just for me, perfect height.

After the beach we went up to Provincetown to see the award winning Dog Park

There was a lot of cool art.
This piece made us miss Tyson.....

There were a few pups I got to meet

And lots of cute art to explore.
I saw this sign so we made sure to stop at the Cape Cod Dog store on the way back that day. I gots treats.
The art was very interesting

What a fun little dog park.

Next we had lunch and stopped to the dog store, which was very nice.

Then we made sure to go to another beach!

This one had sand ripples from the tide.
There were little tidal pools to explore.  I jumped with the minnows swam by my feet!

We made our way back to the motel and spent the afternoon/evening exploring the town and taking a long walk on the beach next to the motel.  The next morning we started the long ride home.  I was happy to see Tyson when we picked him up.  However, all of us were pooped by the time we got home.

Thanks Cape Cod for being dog friendly so I could have a nice Vacation!

My Trips to Cape Cod - Part 1

Oh I is so very excited to share my vacation to Cape Cod wiff you.  In the morning we left and dropped Tyson off at the day spa (aka kennel) for his socialization vacation (which he did very well wiff).  I loves traveling but this trip would have been too much drive time for the little pup.

When we hit Massachusetts we stopped at Sonic for lunch, yummers!
I gots to smell the city of Boston on the way.

And backseat drive for Momma in the tunnels. "It's safe to merge right, hooman"

It took us most the day to gets to the Cape so I was tired but very excited to get to our motel.

We went right to the beach! It was beautiful weather at 72 degrees in October, you couldn't beat that.

The beach had tons of these dead things, Horsehoe crabs the hoomans called them.  They were just plain creepy.

We gots some Pizza for dinner and watched the sunset, afterwards I snuggled in a the motel and went right to sleep.

The next morning (another gorgeous day) we headed out to the National Seashore.
However, one slight problem...

The Tucker doesn't really like stairs, the Tucker hates wooden stairs, and wooden stairs with no back are just plain scary.

Meet the stairs.....

But, I didn't come all that way to just look at the beach, I was going on it.  I was so excited I practically ran down them to get to the beach.

I met some friends on the beach, they were very nice but we couldn't play cause we had to stay on leash.

But the beach,

it was Beautiful

I noticed something in the distance...
I had to investigate.....

OMG - Seals!  I had never seen seals before.  I never barked at them once I just watched them and they watched me.

We left our hands and footprints on this beach and headed out to the next beach.

Beach two was just a lovely.
 And had way more seals!
I had so much fun watching these guys, they were pretty close.
Part 2 of my trip coming soon!

A hike and my new work in progress vest

This past weekend I gots to go on my first hike since my knee ouchies back in November.  Momma and Dad wanted to make sure we waited for my cruicate to heal as much as possible.  Basically because the Tucker has two speeds: zero & 100.  I spend most my time at 0, but my hikes are at 100.
We climbed a smaller mountain with very few jumps and steep spots....

Still a nice hike that lasted about 45 min, I was tired afterwards but happy to say that I don't appear sore or limpy at all!  Yippee for healed knees!

Oh and do you likes my new vest?  It is to keep the PUParazzi away.  I gets too much attention and I am working on trusting strangers again (the quick back story is some dude hit me on my face and scared the crap out of me  almost 2 years ago.  I is sometimes scared when men approach me quickly and  I bark and jump at them if they do it).  Momma and Dad get stressy having to watch everything around me so closely all the time, this makes our lives a lot easier!   If you would like more info you can go to http://www.pawsitivedog.com/DogInTrainingVest.html

The Barkery wif Bambi

Last weekend my Grammy and Grampy were watching cousin Bambi while his papa was at the SuperBowl.  So I had the hoomans steal him and we went on an adventure.  Bambi lives in Vermont, so he doesn't have a Barkery or an Ocean.  We were going to do beach walkies but it ended up being just too cold.  So we did just the Barkery and walked the sidewalks.
Bambi & gots sleepy on the way there and back...
The Barkery has lots of other stuffs, like puzzles, toys, foodables, and the nice ladies that feeds you free samples.
Bambi was exploring the shop on his own.
I enjoyed the free samples.
We had to pick something out of the bakery case.

Bambi gots a "Springer Special"
I gots my favorite a Peanut butter turnover.  Yumm. I loves the Barkery.
Bambi was very tired from the adventure.  I guess he did a lot of steps to keep up wif me on the walky.
