A hike and my new work in progress vest

This past weekend I gots to go on my first hike since my knee ouchies back in November.  Momma and Dad wanted to make sure we waited for my cruicate to heal as much as possible.  Basically because the Tucker has two speeds: zero & 100.  I spend most my time at 0, but my hikes are at 100.
We climbed a smaller mountain with very few jumps and steep spots....

Still a nice hike that lasted about 45 min, I was tired afterwards but happy to say that I don't appear sore or limpy at all!  Yippee for healed knees!

Oh and do you likes my new vest?  It is to keep the PUParazzi away.  I gets too much attention and I am working on trusting strangers again (the quick back story is some dude hit me on my face and scared the crap out of me  almost 2 years ago.  I is sometimes scared when men approach me quickly and  I bark and jump at them if they do it).  Momma and Dad get stressy having to watch everything around me so closely all the time, this makes our lives a lot easier!   If you would like more info you can go to http://www.pawsitivedog.com/DogInTrainingVest.html

  2. OM woffing dog. 1. You look smashing. 2. I am so glad your knee is better. 3. What is wrong with people? He hit you? Momma would have jumped on him and beat on him. Someone tried the same thing with my sweet JD. He is 14 lbs... what threat was he??? And they tried to cut my leash off of me to steal me... dumb butt could have just unclipped it... I like the vest idea. I will get one so I can feel safer from stoooooooooopid people. My double whammy is size and cuteness. It apparently gives stupids license to touch and grab. I have no idea who they are... or where those hands have been...

Stay safe. You are such a good boy. Momma wants to know... is stupid dude still breathing?

    1. Yes Silvie this stranger didn't understand dogs at all. I was letting him pet me and then he went whack whack on my noggin and said "good boy" I freaked and he apologized saying "dogs don't like that?" He was uneducated in dogs and the proper way to treat us. Hopefully our interaction taught him to treat dogs better, but unfortunately it taught me that strangers shouldn't be trusted. If you are a stranger and you have a dog I will trust you, if you are a woman i will trust you, if you a man without a dog I will probably not trust you (so Momma won't let you pet me).

Yes I believe all dogs that look a little out of the norm draw attention and people don't always ask if they can approach, and usually don't wait for the answer if they do approach. And trying to steal you? Dogs are better than humans and that's all I have to say.

  7. Howdy Tucker, OMD, we didn't know about your 'incident' with the stranger man. Some people just have no idea do they. We love your vest. It will hopefully keep you safe from people who just don't think or dont have dog knowledge. My Dad sends you a gentle pat and a cookie just so you know not all blokes are stupid! Take care all. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  12. Tucker! I need one of those vests! I am NOT happy when people or doggies get close to my momma when we are out on walkies. Hey, that's my job, right?

Nice to see you hiking again. You must be feeling much better.

  14. Hello. I just found you and my Mom lost an hour reading. She gets so mad when people whack me on the head while saying good boy. They sure is stooped. A few days ago she was in a shop and I was with my dad outside. She appeared very quickly when she heard a loud banging and sure enough there was somebody "patting" me on the back. My Dad is too polite sometimes! Doh. I love that coat.
