The Couch Thief

Meet my new foster Sister Navajo!  She's my first foster sister ever and I was really excited to meet her.  I like her lots but she has one MAJOR flaw.
She is a couch thief.
(in case you can't tell I is the one on the left)

Note from Momma: Tucker isn't being pushed off the couch, he simply doesn't get on it if Navajo is up there first.  We are very proud of how well Tucker is behaving having another Dane in the house.  He was so excited yesterday when we brought her here he did zoomies 4 times.  Navi slept in her crate last night and Tucker made sure to sleep in the bed with us, which he rarely does.  He doesn't appear too jealous, yet.  My concern was the toys, we picked up most of the toys but Navi  doesn't appear  interested in them anyway.   This is our first foster, we are very excited and are trying very hard not to fall in love with her too much.

  4. Good luck with that not falling in love with her thought! I love her already and she's not at my house. I guess it's from one couch hog to another love - Meja.

Tucker the trick is to get there 1st thing in the morning and never leave! - Bobo

  5. Um. Hey, Tucker, if you could wear a hat or something so we can tell you and your foster sister apart, that would be really cool! ;-) However, we are quite impressed with your manners - a gentleman should always relinquish his couch to a lady! And if you discover that you need a permanent lady friend, we agree with the above suggestion on getting a bigger couch! ;-)

  6. Tucker, do we sense the possibility of a foster failure here??? Wouldn't it be nice to have a sister?

Ciara wants to thank you for the kisses - so sweet of you.

  8. Fostering is such a great thing to do. Just be patient, things will be bumpy the first week until everyone gets adjusted to each other and your schedule. Try really hard not to become a foster failure (keeping your foster). hehe. It is so hard to do. My mom cries each time one of our fosters goes to their new home. We have had over 13 fosters and I am the only one they kept so far. BOL.

  12. It would be very hard not to fall in love with her, and she seems to fit into your family very well. Glad she is getting along OK with Tucker. They look cute on the couch together.

  23. BARK! I see dots! mommy brought home a boy fawn that looked a lot like me once. He was taller and goofyer, but sometimes mommy would get us confused. hmmmppph! that boy found himself a forever home when mommy and daddy were away on a trip. We never got to say good-bye. sniff

  24. How wonderful that you have a foster sister! Back when mama did Dane rescue, she was a terrible foster parent: I think she placed maybe 3 Danes and kept 7, which is like a 67% failure rate. They sure were great dogs, though! We'll be watching with interest to see if Navajo plays with you and ends up worming her way into a permanent home. How is she with the cats?

  25. Wow Tucker so many spots in one room...Ha Roo!
It's great that your hoomans are fostering another dane. My mom wishes she could do that but no way....I like being an only dog and would never stand for it.

Any chance she can find her forever home with you??

  26. Sasha can totally empathize with you Tucker. Only it is the couch Drake tries to steal but her bed. He will zoom to the back of the house at night to get on her bed. Our human makes him move but sometimes during the day he sneaks back there!
