I'm still here, but I've been busy!

Sorry I've been gone for so long but right after my last post I gots a foster brother! Meet Mac!  Mac came from New York to our Rescue and I gots to teach him about how fun being a dog is.  See being a dog isn't about being tied up all the time or stuffed away in a kennel, he didn't know that.
Mac and I got along pretty well, in fact I was mopey for 2 days after he left.  Mac has gone to be with another foster family becuase he didn't like kittehs at all.  In fact the kittehs had to stay in the basement because Mac wanted to eat them.  So, Mac stayed with us for almost 4 weeks and then he went to learn more doggie stuff from another family.  He has adjusted super well to the new foster family they don't have kittehs.
Mac and I went to the pond together a few times, I tried to teach him to swim - but, I don't know how to swim.  So, I taught him hows to run in the water...

And our of the water....

Also, I made sure to teach Mac the importance of a good game of tug.  He learned to cheat all on his own.
I miss Mac and I hope he finds his forever home real soon!

Tucker's Dancing with the Doggie Stars Entry

Here is my entry to Honey's Dancing with the doggie Stars Event!  My routine isn't perfect but it was fun just the same.  I'm a very lazy Dane and you can see I need a BIG cookie to motivate me, which I knock outta Momma's hand during the routine... BOL.  Anyways I hope you enjoy...

Oh and I almost forgots the best part, he are just a couple of my bloopers ;)

The kitteh blooper....

The I'm done dancing blooper....
I can't wait to see all the entries and how hard everyone worked.

I is an only child

Ok, ok, when you don't count the kittehs I is an only child.  Navajo had to go back to the daycare/kennel foster.  Turns out she has this thing called separation anxiety and would whine every time Momma was outa sight.  Plus, she escaped the crate the first day the hoomans went to work - we ran around loose in the house unsupervised all day.  (Momma says it's a miracle we didn't get hurt, hurt each other, or destroy anything).  So, the next days she tried to get out of the crate that now had wire ties on it.  In the process Navi was hurting her nose from pushing on the crate all day.  Also, she was resource guarding and scaring me.  The resource was food, and Momma.   I had to make big loops out around her and I couldn't go near Momma.  So Momma had to take her back so she wouldn't get hurt.

I was so tired from not sleeping...... Seriously look at my eyes.....

But, everything is back to how it use to be and it looks like I won't be getting a sister anytime soon.  We'll try fostering at another time.

In other news, I spent the weekend sunbathing....

The Couch Thief

Meet my new foster Sister Navajo!  She's my first foster sister ever and I was really excited to meet her.  I like her lots but she has one MAJOR flaw.
She is a couch thief.
(in case you can't tell I is the one on the left)

Note from Momma: Tucker isn't being pushed off the couch, he simply doesn't get on it if Navajo is up there first.  We are very proud of how well Tucker is behaving having another Dane in the house.  He was so excited yesterday when we brought her here he did zoomies 4 times.  Navi slept in her crate last night and Tucker made sure to sleep in the bed with us, which he rarely does.  He doesn't appear too jealous, yet.  My concern was the toys, we picked up most of the toys but Navi  doesn't appear  interested in them anyway.   This is our first foster, we are very excited and are trying very hard not to fall in love with her too much.

Looking for my twin

Norwood is having a contest to look for your better half. Basically find your twin of the opposite sex on petfinder and post about it. The winner gets a donation to the charity of your choice.
Well, there are lots of Danes in Rescues. The number 1 reason we get turned over to shelters/rescues - We are too Big! Yes, there are stupid people out there that get a Great Dane as a puppy and then say "I didn't realize how big it would get". Seriously.

Now I'm not saying that's the only reason we gets stuck in shelters and rescues there are many other reasons that are common in all breeds: Health problems - can't afford care, moving, death in family, not getting along with other pets, new baby in the family, poor behavior, etc.

But - I know of a particular Dane that just came into the Rescue we are volunteers for. She does look a lot like me. But, being harlequin all of us are different. For example:

She looks a lot like me wif that same black spot on my face only mine is bigger.

Meet Harley & Diva - From Paws of Austin in Texas
Harley has two different colored eyes.
Diva has a really big black patch
Meet Quinn - from Central Florida Great Dane Rescue
She's really cute but I've got more spots and my nose is almost black.
********************************************************
And Finally meet Navajo - From Coastal Maine Great Dane Rescue
We are the same age and I think she's the best match for my twin. What do you think?

What I did two weekends ago & Hiatus

I forgots to tell you all about my weekend adventure two weekends ago (cause I was busy with my pawty planning.)

Anyway, we went down to my Uncle's for his special birfday pawty and I gots to hang out with my BFF Diesel the whole day! Yes, we gots cake too.
Then I gots to stay in a motel room for the night. The bedspread was so ugly I had difficulties adjusting to it.

Then on Sunday I had to work again. I wore my donation vest and spent time making new friends and raising Great Dane awareness.

This little pup was full of labradork energies......

The hotdogs follow me everywheres, what can I say?

So Sunday night when I gots home I was so tired. I have no idea why Great Danes are considered a "working breed". It's too hard, I thinks I should be in the toy category. Besides I luvs toys.

And I am going on Hiatus for a couple weeks. Momma is leaving for a vacation with my Aunt. Dad is staying home and taking care of me, don't worry I'll still get lotsa of attention. But, I will be way behind on visiting my bloggie buddies! Don't forgets me ok?

GOODBYE Puppyhood Pawty!

Oh I is so excited! Today is my second birfday! Us giant doggies take a longer time to grow up, so we are technically puppies until 2. So now that I am 2, I is officially an adult dog. Of course this doesn't mean I'm going to behave all the time, but my puppy brain is basically gone. And, I'm pretty much done growing now, whew! Anyway, enough abouts me ---Are you all ready to get this party started?

The Booker Man got the earliest start ever.. His Mom drove forever to get to Maine so he was the first to arrive:
Lucille showed up next, and she swam the whole way here from Italy! Can you believe it? It's got to have something to do with those big beautiful Dane feet.

The next to arrive was Frankie, he was all dressed up. I guess he hasn't learned that once you gets married you can lets yourself go and you don't have to worry about impressing girls anymore.
Of course he brought his wifeys Penny & Ruby. He suckered them in dressing up too. But he should be careful, they steal his spotlight.
Maggie-Mae arrived from New York and was all smiles as usual.

I thinks it may have had something with Corbin being there too. I think she's smitten.
Zona was the next to arrive and we all started talking about what we wanted to do while we waited for the others.
Of course Zona was eyeballing the DVDs and suggested we watch FRIENDS.
Some more friends showed up while we watched tv.....
But after Khyra, Harley, and Merdie showed up wif all that floof... Khyra had the greatest idea!
We decided to play a game of pin the tail on the KITTEH! Kitty sister Ellie didn't really enjoy it.
But it really got Levi, Hunter and Lola laughing. Hunter was watching from outside to get a better view.
Levi made sure to join him.
Lola was laughing hysterically from a comfortable position inside.
My princess Bella was spending time relaxing.....
While I got to work on making the cake.

We were all sitting around listening to Puddles tell a story that we all knew was completely false... but were playing along with it anyway... when...

Mayzie started to wonder what happened to Frankie....
Oskar volunteered to look for him, but couldn't find him anywhere.
He couldn't be found by Stanzie... (who might have had better luck if he actually left the porch to look)
Wyatt had the idea that Frankie might have been looking for bunnies in the shrubs....

We even had the golden sisters out looking for him.
Ava said she couldn't find him anywhere, she even checked out our garden to make sure he wasn't trying to kill any more moles.
Sammie came back and to our surprise she didn't find Frankie..... instead she found....
Yeah you guessed it..... Frankie's "Cousin" Francine...
Funny how Frankie and Francine are never in the same room at the same time, huh?
Anyway Minnie Moo and Lincoln were getting hungry and so were the rest of us!!!
Stumpy made the decision that it was time for some cake.
So we all put on our party hats and Nova and Teagan starting singing Happy Birfday!
Murphy Dog was singing bass..... and eyeballing my cake......
While Norwood was singing tenor (sorry dude).

We all had yummy cake and ice cream!
Fiona and Abby had made the ice cream from all their snow.
We enjoyed the rest of the pawty Dancing.
Dancing isn't lead by anyone other that the talented Honey!
Darwin kept doing all kinds of Hula dancing.... Murphy wouldn't stop watching her sway those Dane hips..... BOL!
It was so much fun having my friends come to visit me for my Goodbye Puppyhood Pawty! Thank you all for coming!!
We made sure we all got together for a Big Pawty Picture before everyone had to leave!

Booker, Lucille, Frankie, Penny, Ruby, Maggie Mae, Corbin, Zona, Khyra, Harley, Honey, Darwin, Merdie, Hunter, Lola, Levi, Bella, Puddles, Mayzie, Oskar, Stanzie, Wyatt, Ava, Sammie, Minnie Moo, Lincoln, Stumpy, Nova, Teagan, Murphy, Norwood, Fiona, Abby, and Tucker too!
Thank you all for helping me celebrate my second birfday! Goodbye Puppyhood!
