The very friendly Megan offered to give some samples to some of my followers and Momma worked with Megan to design a Pet Fire Safety Window Cling! Guess what, it's got a Dane on it!!! So, you could go right over and design your own with your breed and name and everything. These are much better quality then the chinsy ones my Momma previously bought at the pet store and BuildASign has pretty good prices too, some items even have free shipping.
(Just use a sharpie to fill in the # of pets you have on the window cling or a special message - like "Dog in crate in master bedroom).
Hmm... Directions on how to apply... seems pretty easy...
So, since the nice Megan sent 12 window clings to me I am keeping two and offering the rest up to you guys. That means the first 10 followers to do the following will get a fabulous window cling to help protect your pet in case of a fire.

Turned out to be the carbon monixide detector so she went a gotted a noo one coz it woz older than 5 years anyways. This do be furry timely coz at this furry moment helicoptahs be flying ofur our house coz of a big fire just .6 miles away! It woz on CNN this morning so it be a bad fire! http://bit.ly/g1rMRy

Awesome giveaway, Tucker! I just love the attention given to pet safety! It's soooooooo important! Our mail in dirtville is so bad, that I don't participate in things that require real mail service.
ReplyDeleteHappy tails!
Stumpy and me
Love it! Such an awesome idea!
ReplyDeleteMegan is a doll. Great site too. The next step after posting signs is a doggy door. A little tougher when you have giant dogs or stubborn cats, but most of the time its a good thing and gives an escape route.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea... Recently a dog that was adopted out to a wonderful family in OC California was left at home during a rain storm while the mom ran to pick up the kids from school. The house caught on fire and burnt down and their beloved boxer was inside. I am sure a sign like this could have helped!!!! Thank you for sharing!

This is a great giveaway! I would love to participate and have often thought about getting one of those signs... but what would I put on it? The number changes from week to week around here, and sometimes it seems there are too many to count... or at least too many to admit to on a sign on the front of the house. :-) I think these are awesome for most people with pets though - especially since they have a Great Dane on them! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh this seems really cool! I'll email you just incase you don't have 10 people yet!
ReplyDelete-Corbin
ps. my mom did end up getting an adapter thing! Of course, she found one after she ordered a new cord! Ugh... moms. What are you gonna do with them?
Hi Tucker! What a great giveaway. We did something with Megan and BuildASign, too, and we can hardly wait to show everybuddy what it is! Don't they have great stuff?
ReplyDeleteWiggles & Wags,
mayzie
We did both of those things, but it looks like we are too late to get one! Thanks for letting us know about this company, though.

I think the window clings are all claimed at this time. I have emails out to some of you about your addresses.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
That is a super idea. We wondered about Build A Sign - we were contacted by them, but the Momster slways wonders about those emails. This looks like a good one. There was a fire last night not too far from us. House was destroyed. Three of six cats were saved:(
ReplyDeleteWoos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
Hey Tucker
ReplyDeleteThat is a cool beans sticker! We'd love a sticker! We went and checked out the sign website and it is neat-o! They even gots basset stuffs! All our smoke detectors work- Momma tested out the other day when she burnt some cookies! Hehehehe!
Slobbers,
Droopy, Smiley, and Kayah
That is a pretty pawsome idea! Mom is gonna have to get a sign for me (in my crate) and check out what other signs she can get :)
ReplyDeleteMamma just changed all the batteries in the smoke detectors. She does it 2x a year (clocks up, clocks back-it's her reminder). Smarts for remindin people!!
Excellent PSA, Tucker! We have pet stickers on our doors, too. We also have a doggie door we could get out, although mama says when there's a scary fire most animals hide in the house where they normally feel safe [like the bedroom or a crate], so the fireman rescue is actually more important than the doggie door. We'll check out the website. Might need to update our stickers with a new model.
ReplyDeleteJed & Abby
I think that is so nice of you to share with your furends!! (and I giggled too when I saw da Dane on your cling!) hehehe. Well done Tucker!
ReplyDeleteBig slurps from a little dog, HoneyBuzz
Hey Tucker!
ReplyDeleteWow, this sign is a great idea! I'll check out this site. In the meantime, I'll ask Mom & Dad to put something in a window at our house so no one forgets about me. Great post and we all appreciate the info.

Hi Tucker - I just found you through Shawnee's blog and so glad I did. I'm follower number 100!! WooT!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea on the fire alert stickers - I think I'll have to get one from you. We used to live in Portland, and after seeing your pics of your beautiful boy on the edge of the water there, I'm feeling "homesick"...
Check us out if you get a chance - http://www.arwenspack.blogspot.com/
Thanks and I'll be stopping by!
