When the days get rainy it's time for me to play one of my favorite indoor games. Do you guys ever play where is the cookie? It's kind of like hide-and-go-seek but a better dog version. It's pretty easy for me since I have a good sniffer. It's mentally challenging and it helps me practice my wait command.
Sob. I used to play that game all the time until stupid PeeWee came along and momma said that I got too competitive and accidentally put his head in my mouth and made bad sounds. Now we play the same game outside which is much harder.

Great job Tucker! I will try that game with Remi tonight and see what he thinks! We'll start off a lot easier though and try to work our way up to your level of difficulty eventually. Thanks for the fun idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great game. You are an expert!

Mollie Jo & Bobo
good job Tucker!
ReplyDeleteWe play that with Darwin, though we haven't made her wait in a different room. We'll make her sit on her bed, and I'll usually hide treats somewhere on Jason (between his toes, next to his leg, etc) and even though she's sitting right there sometimes it takes her a while to find it! her sniffer must not be as good as yours!
I get to play that with my Doggy Nanny sometimes -
ReplyDeleteWhilst I'm a walk, she'll stash some treats 'round the furst floor - sometimes Fred will do the same -
My snooter is pawesome like yours!

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful game, wow you're sure good at it. We have a similar game, we hide mom's socks and then she runs around and tries to find them.
It's very enjoyable, you must try it. hehehe

Goooooood boy!
ReplyDeleteWoo that second round was like the advanced round - in another room! P.S. - We would struggle with that wait thing. Not our strong suit. Except Qannik.
ReplyDeleteHi Tucker! Thanks for comin' by my bloggie todays!
ReplyDeleteOh! I luvs that game you're playing! I'm gonna see if I can teach my momma how to hide treats for me like that. Thanks for the Most Awesomest idea!
Wiggles & Wags,
Mayzie
Hey Tucker, we've never played that game. Don't ask us why, we don't know. But it looks like a lot of fun! And might we say, you fill up the entire bathroom. Wow.
ReplyDeleteStella, Gunther and Betty
Good idea! We play "find the momma" sometimes, but I like your game better cuz you get to EAT the cookie when you find it...

Hello Mr. Tucker, I cames by to say I looooved your comment on Toby's bloggie...it had me laughing, just straight to the point. But then, when my mum seen you was a Dane, she nearly collapsed. Mum loooooves Danes and has always wanted one. However, da hooman man said no horsies in da house. Oh well, she can't live without doxies though. You are a mighty handsome fellow.

Toby

ReplyDeleteHi Tucker - sorry I'm so late with visiting - am just catching up on your posts now!
ReplyDeleteHey - I play that game too! I LOVE it! Except that I slobber LOTS as I'm looking for the cookie and unlike you, I put my nose & mouth everywhere as I look...so my humans don't like the slime trail I leave behind - hee! hee! Hsin-Yi has to follow me with a towel, cleaning up after me! :-) Sometimes she really wishes I was a tighter-mouthed, dryer-mouthed Dane - but then she really liked the baggy, jowly faced look and heavier type of Dane - so I guess she's paying the price! :-) Do you drool lots too?
Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
