This week's random updates

Just to clear things up about my wordless Wednesday post. That Dane isn't actually me, but we do look very similar. And, if I lived out in Hollywood I would consider being a Model but there aren't any jobs out here in Maine. Besides, I would need an agent right? Where would I get an agent?

I've gone back to school now. Momma and Dad are taking back to obedience training for 6 weeks. I had loads of fun and was somewhat challenged. There was this scary long ramp and table I had to walk up sit on and walk down. I think it may be agility related? Anyway, it was scary but I managed to do it. Momma and Dad were surprised, since I am a big wimp and all. Momma seems really excited about this training facility. It is much further away then the class I took before but this one has more classes. There is basic obedience which I am in, advanced obedience, rally, agility, puppy classes, Doggie CPR classes, tricks classes, loose leash & recall classes, and Rally-o. After I finish the obedience class the Advanced class is a continuous drop-in class. So, all year long when Saturday (aka Tucker Day) comes around and the weather is not outside adventure weather I can go to class in the morning, cool huh?

Oh, and last week was surgery day....

Before:
and After:
I am most helpful as you can see.

Oh, and I've got to go next week for my annual check-up and vaccines. Momma is trying to learn more about the Lyme vacccine. I'm on frontline year-round but lots of doggies that aren't on anything are getting Lyme disease. Momma is a little nervous about the vaccine giving me sickies and if it even will help. Do any of you doggies out there get the Lyme Vaccine? I only have gotten the rabies, distemper/parvo, and kennel cough vaccine. Don't worry Momma will still ask my vet.
Until next time - Chill

  1. Well, I got the Lyme vaccine and I STILL got the Lyme disease so go figure. Same thing with my next door neighbor doggie. I use the frontline too, but nothing seems to be 100%.

Stupid PeeWee goes to school every Saturday too. He says they have agilities and drop in obedience. Whatever. I can't believe you went over the dog walk! When I was a teenager and went to agilities all I had to do was put my feet on the ramp because it was far too scary for me.

  2. Tucker, you are a very talented pup...I too would be very scared to go up a big ramp!

We get the Lyme vaccine too...it didn't make us sickie...and we didn't get the Lyme sickie...but we also live in Texas which is a bunch less exposed then the northeast where you guys have many more of those icky deer ticks!

  4. I have not had the lyme thingy shot. I suppose my mom will be doing it now though. I guess it is better to give it a try. I take the tick and flea stuff too. I have only ever had ONE tick. I think they can't get through my furs. Love your stuffie hospital butt their Recovery Room shot is the bestest.

  6. We haven't had the Lyme Disease shot. But we haven't heard of a lot of dogs around here getting the disease. We're gonna ask our vet about it. We're all on Frontline Plus, but like Mango says, nothing is 100%. Prolly best thing to do is check with your vet.

Have fun with your classes Tucker!

  8. Cool update. I feel I am caught up. So you do like class then :) As for the lyme vaccine, we've never had it. We're in Cali and we've had several incidents of lyme disease via nasty mosquitoes. Huh, I'll have M ask the vet.

  9. WOW I can't believe you have a day named after you....I'll have to ask my mom what's up with that...where is my Kasha Day?? LOL

I don't get that shot...I'm not really an outdoor woodsy kind of dainty dane...I'm pretty much outside to do my business then come back in and when I go out for walkies, I pretty much stay on the concrete sidewalks..but if I do venture out in the nature areas mom gives me a really good look over for those nasty critters.

  13. Nice updates! You are so much better than my momma about not being too wordy! She's also given up on fixing my stuffies, since they seems to be re-injured all too soon. Wonder how that happens?? I go to school A LOT - twice a week! You'd think I'd be really smart by now....

  14. Hey Tucker - your new training classes sound fab!! And you're so lucky that you have humans willing to spend the time with you taking you to school and doing stuff with you. I can't wait to hear more about the fun things you get up to in class!
